YKC '06 Panelist Releases Book on Plame Scandal

Marcy Wheeler, a panelist at the 2006 YearlyKos Convention, has just released "Anatomy of Deceit: How the Bush Administration Used the Media to Sell the War and Smear a Critic", a book on the Joe Wilson-Valerie Plame-Scooter Libby scandal, and it is now available for pre-order on Amazon.

On page A1 of the Chicago Tribune on Sunday, December 31, 2006, the YearlyKos Convention was named the #5 "thing to look for in '07" by the Tribune staff: (If I may suggest that the #1 thing to look for in '08 should be getting rid of the need to sign up for a free account to view an article!)

The YearlyKos Convention is coming to town!

There's an epic story underway, a modern adaptation of a classic tale. In this distinctly modern version, an electronic David is taking on an Neo-Imperial Goliath using a virtual slingshot loaded with nothing but electrons. But the stakes are familiar enough; life and death for some, bondage or liberty for many, and prosperity Vs poverty for millions.

Greetings from the YearlyKos Convention!

Sen. Harry Reid thanks Netroots

I'm sure that everyone remembers the big keynote speech of YKC 2006. It was a Saturday night, and we had put the bulk of a great convention behind us. Senate Minority Leader Harry Reid got on stage and addressed a room filled with more than 1,000 bloggers. "Give 'Em Hell Harry" signs filled the room.

Community and Collaboration

I wanted to call your attention to an interesting diary that showed up on DailyKos recently titled MetaDailyKos: Community and Collaboration.
