YearlyKos Netroots Convention Welcomes Andy Stern To Afternoon Labor Keynote

Stern—president of the 1.9 million-member Service Employees International Union (SEIU)—will address the impact of globalization on America’s workforce. The SEIU is the fastest-growing union in North America.

Labor leader to be interviewed by political columnist and editor Harold MeyersonJULY 23, 2007—YearlyKos Convention organizers announced today that labor leader and activist Andy Stern confirmed his participation in a lunchtime keynote to be held August 3 in Chicago.
Stern—president of the 1.9 million-member Service Employees International Union (SEIU)—will address the impact of globalization on America’s workforce. The SEIU is the fastest-growing union in North America.
He will be interviewed by Harold Meyerson, editor at large of The American Prospect and political columnist for the Washington Post.

The 11:45 a.m. keynote is sponsored by the National Education Association.
On Saturday, Sen. Hillary Clinton, Sen. Chris Dodd, Sen. John Edwards, Sen. Mike Gravel, Sen. Barack Obama and Gov. Bill Richardson will participate in a unique citizen-driven Presidential Leadership Forum.
YearlyKos Convention 2007 will take place August 2–5, 2007 at the McCormick Place Convention Center in Chicago. In addition to the forum, the conference will include panels and caucuses led by national and international experts; prominent nationally recognized political, issue and policy-oriented speakers; a progressive film screening series; and the most concentrated gathering of high-profile progressive bloggers to date.
