We've talked a lot about unConventional recently, but did you know there were two large ebook projects released before the 2006 YearlyKos Convention?
We have re-released both Kosmos: You Are Here and The Trollhouse Cookbook in our Goodstorm store. Both of these works were produced by generous YKC volunteers.
To refresh your memory here are some of the things written about them shortly after they were released.
Kosmos: You Are Here
Kosmos is a 396-page ebook is a PDF collection of the best essays by Kossacks Darksyde and DevilsTower about evolution and cosmology. It features a thought-provoking chapter by Pastor Dan that discusses religion, intellectual laziness, the power of reason and the search for intellectual truth. It also has a forward by science writer, Carl Zimmer, where he muses over the rapid technical and intellectual evolution of electronic media, from email to streaming video to blogs and, well, ebooks....as with all good books, it is the writing itself that will ultimately appeal to you.

The Trollhouse Cookbook
Regular readers of DailyKos are familiar with Plutonium Page, mcjoan, Dood Abides, and Maryscott OConnor, but what do they have in common with good people like original practice, elkboy, Myrkury, or patience?

It has been a long-standing tradition here at DailyKos to sling recipes at the trolls, those rude creatures who have absolutely no interest in civil discourse of the issues at hand, and who (dis)grace our pages with their vitriolic diaries and comments. The named DailyKos members above have all thrown troll recipes which are included in the long-awaited, The dKos Trollhouse Cookbook! Too many cooks may spoil the broth, but too many trolls on DailyKos sure make for delicious dining!
