"In the Valley of Elah" opens today and should not be missed.

Paul Haggis has come out with the first honest portrayal of the effects of the Iraq war on our returning soldiers. We have heard a lot of rhetoric about 'supporting the troops' coming out of the White House, but sometimes the best thing we can do for them, is look beyond the slogans to face the difficult truth. "In the Valley of Elah" does just that and I can't recommend this film highly enough.

"In the Valley of Elah" tells the story of a war veteran, his wife and the search for their son, a soldier who recently returned from Iraq but has mysteriously gone missing, and the police detective who helps in the investigation. It leaves you with a pit in your stomach but the performances are as strong as the script is compeling. If you have a chance to see this great film, don't miss it. That's an order!
